• When I did these parables in english , I turned a child. The times when one enjoyed reading those never- can-be -forgotten parables from our rich upanishads, epics and puranas, and even from history. They have rich messages to bail you out of difficult corners that may strick on the face, suddenly, yet felicitous to remember and recapitulate. Such beautiful images they have.These parables rendered here in english have the same felicity and image - density as they have , but uttered to a modern situation from a different background. A parable always unfurls strikingly. Thet which breaks the bud , tears open the dawn and solves the mystery in a turn. A parale also needs tobe told sweetly, crisply.
  
  Turn of always are more important ,-and they should come natueally. These parables written in tamil have the elegance from the history, relevance to modernity and pithiness of lanhuahe. And I have  rendered them in english as they come , as I have a child,s felicity.  Of course, translation, they say is a metempsychosis. Many can not, but agree . It is a diffcult task, an endeavour, they say. No, I say . The child,s pleasure to explore mysteries, unknown- the curiosity alone is enough to turn the language plane. Joy makes it natural. Words then metamorphose.
